K9 Helpers Service Dogs: Guelph-Wellington, Ontario, Canada

What We Do

K9 Helpers Service Dogs Inc

Psychiatric Service Dogs for Guelph & Wellington County, Ontario, Canada

K9 Helpers Service Dogs, Inc. is a mental health assistance group—we help adults with mental illness by training and placing service dogs with them.

Psychiatric Service Dogs need to have both a calm temperament and very skilled training.  When they have both, they can help some people who are otherwise disabled by mental illnesses like severe anxiety or depression, bi-polar disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder, Post-Traumatic Stress disorder, and others.

K9 Helpers Service Dogs was founded in 2001 in response to the needs of one person who needed a service dog.  We are now a non-profit corporation with charitable status, operated by a volunteer board of directors.

We are always on the lookout for donations and grant opportunities, because there are far more people, even in our limited geographical area, who qualify and need a psychiatric service dog, than we can afford to train.

If you would like to make a donation, or volunteer with us, please drop us a line at
info@k9helpers.org and let us know, and we will get back to you with details about how you can help!
